Evie Lynch
“I’m a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, martial artist, and dancer, originally from Madison, WI, now living in Oakland, CA. A client introduced me to BB4B, and after volunteering at classes I knew I wanted to teach! I have a lifelong fascination with creative forms of movement, and my experience with Aikido, circus aerials, speed skating, and competitive lumberjack sports have given me a wide array of tools to support balance training. In my classes I hope to share functional body mechanics and the joy of movement to help build sustainable exercise habits, using a ton of what I learned in BB4B classes and certification training.”
Kaitlin Cordova
I am a mobile physical therapist in Lexington, KY, working primarily with older adults and people with Parkinson’s. I use the BB4B curriculum to inspire fun, challenging dance sequences during my weekly group exercise class for the local Parkinson’s Alliance. It’s a great way to let loose after a class that’s otherwise heavy on strength and cardio!
Erin Eleuterio
I’m a fitness professional specializing in working with older adults. I hold a BS in Kinesiology and am a certified Functional Aging Specialist. I teach balance, strength, PK Silver (parkour for 50+), and integrate the BB4B curriculum in my classes at senior living communities, senior centers, and online.
I’m also the creator and host of the Second Act Fit Pros podcast and community, highlighting innovative professionals dedicated to helping mature adults thrive through movement and health.
Janelle Burnham
I am a physical therapist located near Viroqua, WI and am currently working in an outpatient setting at The Richland Hospital and Clinics which is in a neighboring community. I work with all ages ranging from infants to older adults with various conditions. I also work with individuals with chest wall asymmetries to improve their posture and breathing mechanics and am part of the Chest Wall Clinic team at UW-Health in Madison. I graduated from the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013 and had the privilege of being a classmate of Susan’s and see her passion for dance, community and helping others grow into this amazing program. I have enjoyed integrating the BB4B curriculum into my patient care when I see a need to work on centering their body, weight shifting and to improve their overall balance. It has been a fun and rewarding way to work on their balance and coordination. As someone who is passionate about the outdoors, music, functional based activities and exercise, the BB4B curriculum has been a great adjunct to incorporate into my practice.
Beth Smetana
Beth is a social worker by profession but has been in love with movement all her life. She danced ballet as a child and young adult and has enjoyed all kinds of movement throughout her life including running, all forms of dance, walking and teaching group exercise classes. She is a 235-hour trained yoga teacher and teaches yoga classes in Black River Falls, WI in her free time.
As a social worker, Beth worked for years with elderly and disabled adults which gave her a passion for falls prevention. She incorporates elements learned in B4BB with her yoga students and in her personal life to help others achieve and maintain better balance.
